Tom Judd Casey (for the "Patrick Eddington Cat Project), 2000 Acrylic, Mixed Media and Metal painting on board Signed and dated in pencil on the front 12 × 10 1/2 inches This is a unique painting Tom Judd Biography This is a lovely mixed media painting by popular Philadelphia based artist, Tom Judd. Provenance: Estate of Patrick Eddington. Patrick Eddington was a Utah school teacher who had the improbable idea of writing to his favorite artists and asking them to draw or paint pictures of cats. “This project is a labor of love," Eddington wrote of his endeavor in a 2004 letter. “It will culminate as a large book and traveling exhibition. It will also help Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. I’ve asked individuals I admire to create cat-related works. They are not the typical cat images but creative works.” Patrick Eddington passed away in early 2016 and his vision was, unfortunately, never realized. Nonetheless, artists like Keith Haring, Joel Peter Witkin...

From 1947 to 1950, Kadishman studied with the Israeli sculptor Moshe Sternschuss at the Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel Aviv, and in 1954 with the Israeli sculptor Rudi Lehmann in Jerusalem. In 1959, he moved to London, where he remained until 1972. He had his first one-man show there in 1965 at the Grosvenor Gallery. His sculptures of the 1960s were Minimalist in style and so designed as to appear to defy gravity. This was achieved either through careful balance and construction, as in Suspense (1966), or by using glass and metal so that the metal appeared unsupported, as in Segments (1968). In 1995, he began painting portraits of sheep. These instantly-recognizable sheep portraits...

The artist uses a style of gyotaku printing which uses various inks directly on a fish (or in this case, a lobster) and then "prints" it to paper. Here he has used acrylic to print this monster on mulberry paper. This work is unframed. Please contact the gallery for framing options. Jeff Conroy Big Red Bug...
