Roger Cogneville (1903-1965) A highly unusual and extremely stylish Art Deco ivory-colored ceramic sculpture of a jazz trio, the large stylized figures tightly grouped and dynamically playing their instruments, featuring a percussionist, sax player and sousaphonist, the Modernist contours of the trio is highlighted by the craquelure glaze. With impressed signature in the ceramic R. COGNEVILLE on the front edge of the plinth.
