Carole Moore Art
Artist Comments
Artist Carole Moore finds encouragement and renewal in the vigor of bamboo. Strong, fast-growing, and versatile, this piece shows a stand of the flowering plant in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens. The grove surrounds a pond, inviting the viewer to reach through to the tranquility beyond. "Leave the clamor of the city behind for a moment."

This painting depicts the view from one of Carol Moore's regular morning walks on Bernal Hill in San Francisco. The work is part of her cargo ship series. In these pieces Carol embeds maps and guitar strings to show the music of our one world, and the exchange of ideas and materials that support our lives.

This year has led me to look for ways to bring positivity and hope into the world through my art. I;m motivated to put my efforts into creating work that;s optimistic for the world and emphasize our interdependence as a single people on the earth. My monochromatic pieces address the intersection of nature and technology, with wind and water used for clean energy production. I look for the way nature rests alongside machinery.
