Anne Diggory Art

b. 1951

Anne Diggory was born in 1951. Diggory lives in Saratoga Springs and frequently paints in the Adirondacks and on her travels to places such as Arizona, Alaska and Morocco. She graduated from Yale and has a master of fine arts degree from Indiana University. Diggory has a passion for the landscapes of Hudson River School artists, such as Alexander Helwig Wyant, John Frederick Kensett, William Trost Richards and David Johnson. She was rewarded with a solo exhibition at the Albany Institute of History and Art in April 2019. She exhibits extensively in the New York and New England area. Her work is in numerous private and corporate collections nationwide, including purchases by the Upstate Cancer Center in Syracuse, Phoenix Home Life in Albany, Bessemer Trust in San Francisco and AYCO in Saratoga Springs. Her unique portrayals of the historic Saratoga Racetrack from the late 1970s and 1980s are her most famous works because they focus primarily on the bettors, gamblers, handicappers, spectators, crowds and general atmosphere of the summer horseracing meet, rather than the horses and jockeys.

Views from the Seine No. 29 by Sherrie Russ Levine, Framed Paris Painting
Located in Atlanta, GA
Unframed this piece is 12 x 12. Sherrie Russ Levine is an artist noted for her paintings that capture the play of light and color as it appears in nature, and provide a welcome respite from the hectic environment of modern life. Her moody landscapes are more about the essence of a place rather than its exact location, and she strives to transport you there with an emotional connection. Sherrie grew up on the east coast in Georgetown, SC and attended Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, FL where she received her degree in graphic design and illustration. After graduating in 1981 she worked in advertising agencies and art departments in Atlanta, GA for 10 years before making Nashville, TN her home. Since 1995 she has focused on painting in oils and has shown in galleries and juried shows throughout the United States. Levine's paintings are gaining national recognition in private collections, painting competitions and as The 2017 Featured Artist of Huntsville Museum of Art's Annual GALA. She continues to evolve and has studied painting with renowned artists: Terry Miura, CW Mundy, Lori Putnam, and Maggie Siner...
