Excellently designed Hans Wagner vase with stylistic blue floral and women's decor.
This decor is definitely one of Hans Wagner's most beautiful designs. The vase has a very nice 1960's look.
Hans Wagner uses red-fired clay, often covered with a white tin glaze in which decors are scratched and later filled in with colors. The signature is an H, connected to the W on the right side, with a horizontal line attached halfway on the right side. . A specialty are the name cups. These date more from the period 1965-1972. The range also includes bowls on feet, vases, fruit tests, cheese cloches...

Il est né en 1885 à Lille et mort en 1963 à Saint-Sever. Sa carrière s'effectue d'abord dans le Nord de la France (Fives-Lille, Nimy en Belgique, Billancourt, Antony) puis à Saint-Sever. Il a fondé en 1920 la Faïencerie d'Art d'Antony (95), associé avec Eugène Val, membre important de la chambre syndicale de la céramique et de la verrerie, où il collabore avec :
Jean de La Fontinelle (spécialiste des décors animaliers),
André Villien (un vase signé des deux hommes l'atteste), •
Georges Cassin (entre 1936 et 1937 il travaille à la manufacture nationale de Sèvres puis à l'usine Boch en Belgique).
Louis Dage fournit l'atelier d'art « Pomone » du grand magasin « Au bon marché ». Il est « meilleur ouvrier de France » en 1925. Il participe vers 1934 à l'aménagement du paquebot...
