Outstanding small oil on velum sketch of a North African/ Arab head study.
The painting is a classic sketch and I'm sure the figure would have been used in a much larger finished work.
The piece has remnants of ink where the figure was first sketched and then painted in oils on top.
The piece has been in a private collection for more them 30 years and has recently been frame in a wonderful moon gold English hand-made frame.
This is the perfect painting for any disconcerting collector, its a real gem.
