About the Item

The first of its kind in my shop, a Roman gold Aureus. I cannot find any online shop that sells these set in gold. I see lots of seller charging what I charge for trivial coins (bronze, not gold and large like this one). This stunning coin measures about 19 mm and weighs nearly 7 grams. To appreciate the pendant's size, the relief of the coin and the shape of the bail, see the picture showing the coin next to a US quarter. The coin was first set in a 18k gold bezel, which was then hammered over the edge of both sides. This was then sanded and polished. This pendant is built to last. The pendant feels incredible in hand. The pendant will come with a pendant box and coin information. Bought from a coin dealer in the Netherlands, found in a France. -- Coin information: Nero, gold aureus. Struck in Rome 66 or 67 AD.
