About the Item
Stunning, extra long, faceted-rhinestone and clear round stone beaded lariat/wrap style necklace with fabric back from Ann Demeulemeester. Faceted rhinestone are set in silver settings strung together with clear round beads. There is a black fabric portion at the center. Beaded portion measures about 67" on each side. End to end measurements are approximately: 140". Signed with silver cartouche. New with box. Original box included.
Ann Demeulemeester was founded in 1985 by Ann Demeulemeester and her husband Patrick Robyn.
She is one of the 'Antwerp Six'. Members include: Dries Van Noten, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs, Marina Yee and Ann Demeulemeester. Demeulemeester graduated from Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts between 1980–81. She was influenced by gothic, punk, and Japanese cult styles. She opened her own shop in Antwerp in 1999.
