Christian Vivanco
Christian Vivanco is a Mexican designer with an intense passion for design that expresses his own identity nourished by history and locality. He deeply believes in the dialogue between contemporary design and ancestral crafts in order to build authentic and unique creations. He naturally bets on all his projects for what is handmade, collaborating with master artisans, artists and creatives from different disciplines and origins, contributing to the creation of a material culture for the future. In 2020 he founded Balsa, a parallel project from which he explores in depth the relationship between design and the weaving of natural fibers with ancestral Mexican techniques. In 2021 he establishes Perso, an intimate and personal project from which he develops pieces of pure exploration. Christian's work has been exhibited at Salone del Mobile in Milan, Design Museum in London, Tokyo Design Week, Maison & Objet in Paris and I.C.F.F. in New York, among many other design capitals, as well as having been regularly published in magazines such as Wallpaper, Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, The Financial Times, Domus, Dezeen, WGSN, among many others.
