Rare Satinwood Vernis Martin Paint Decorated Adams Style Vitrine China Cabinet

About the Item

This is a superbly crafted English-made Adams style cabinet. The case is a two-piece case and the top section is fitted with lighting and a silk lemon yellow moire fabric to enhance anything placed in front of it. Imagine Limoge or Sevres pieces in front of that gorgeous fabric. The painted cherubs and maidens are breathtakingly well-done and the floral sprays add such character to the luminous satinwood case. The piece is in good condition and will show some defects from age such as paint crazing and subtle warpage of some of the wood. Measures 72 tall x 48.5 wide x 16 deep. Dates to the 1880-1910 era.
