An Antique English Country House Chest of Drawers Dresser

About the Item

A delightful and unique antique English Country House dressing chest. This is a bit different from what I normally offer, but I really love this piece! We call it the “Lady Marchmain” chest around the warehouse - look it up :). It gives total worn - (almost out of touch?) - elegance vibes!! The paint has been refreshed. Four drawer and one door configuration, with delightful swag decor, brass ring hardware and escutcheons adorning the front. Painted a pleasant cream. The door in front reveals useful storage within. A heavy chest and quality made - likely a part of a suite of furniture built for the Marchioness….A very unique and function piece! Solid and ready for immediate use. Condition: scratches, dents, marks, stains on top, stains in drawers, splits, cracks, worn spots, discoloration, historical repairs and alterations - a truly beautiful patina!
