Decoration : The glass chimney engraved with a foliate design, the csalloped bases with fruiting vines
Size : Height 31.5cm, base diameter 11.8cm
Condition : very good, no chips, cracks or dings. There is some tarnish in the silver around the base
Restoration : None
Weight : 2850 grams
Barker-Ellis was formed in 1961 with the merger between Barker Bothers and Ellis and Co. These late Victorian and Edwardian designs marked Barker-Ellis are almost invraiably mis-sold as being turn of the century. This would be quite a feat for a company that did not come into existence until some 60 years later. We do hope that people stop making such an exhibit of themselves that could easily be avoided with a modicum of research.
