Berndt Friberg, Stoneware Yellow Small Vase, Gustavsberg, Sweden, 1968

About the Item

Berndt Friberg, Stoneware vase with yellow haresfur glaze, Gustavsberg, Sweden 1968 Impressed "Friberg" "G (hand) " Incised "J" The entire vessel is covered with a yellow glaze, which is then covered with a double layer of a lighter green glaze covering the entire surface. This is a combination of yellow glazes that is standard in Friberg's work. The hairline of the glaze flows beautifully over the entire piece, giving it a perfect, seamless look. The shape of the vase is a dome-shaped vase with a trumpet-shaped open mouth extending from the cylindrical body. It is a small size vase, but a little larger than a miniature. The vessel has been examined by an expert by UV light and visual inspection to ensure that there are no repairs and that it is not twice kiln fired.
