Victorian Sterling Silver Parcel Gilt Beaker

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver parcel gilt beaker; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver beaker has a cylindrical, tapering form. The surface of this antique silver beaker is embellished with bright cut engraved oval rosette designs, alternating with simplified ivy sprays. The lower shaped border is ornamented with further bright cut engraved simplified ivy leaf decoration, conjoined with a wrigglework scalloped border. The anterior of this exceptional London silver beaker is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of out of a coronet two lion's jambe crossed. The upper and lower portions, the underside and interior of impressive beaker retain the original gilding. Condition This Victorian London silver beaker is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The bright cut engraved inscription and crest are all very crisp. The original gilding has some wear in keeping with age. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the beaker are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.     An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware. This exceptional antique Victorian silver goblet, in sterling standard, has a circular bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot. The body of this silver goblet is embellished with bright cut engraved foliate and floral festoons suspended from ribbon bow motifs. The upper portion of this sterling silver goblet is encompassed with bright cut engraved layered leaf decorated border. The foot is ornamented with further bright cut engraved simplified leaf decorated border, reflecting the design to the rim. Condition This antique Victorian silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The goblet has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.
