Hollohaza Hungary 14.5" Tall Folk Surrealistic Porcelain Vase by László Jurcsák

About the Item

László Jurcsák for Hollohaza large porcelain vase, Hungary. A beautiful large hand made Hungarian porcelain square paneled and tapered vase measuring approximately 14.5” high. White porcelain with four black and white folk surrealistic scenes of dreamlike women and children. The rim is embellished with a fancy patterned design in rich 24 karat gold as well as 24 karat gold trim running down and around the vase. Signed by László Jurcsák, who was a student of Endre László Szász, a well known folk surrealistic artist. Each panel of the vase is signed by the artist. Hollóháza porcelain is produced by the Porcelain Manufactory of Hollohaza, Hungary. The manufactory was founded in 1777 and is one of the oldest remaining porcelain makers in Europe and the oldest in Hungary.
