Albatross Cameo Glass Perfume by Thomas Webb & Sons
About the Item
This exceptionally rare cameo glass perfume bottle by Thomas Webb & Sons takes the form of an albatross. The upper layer of opal glass is expertly carved to reveal the brilliant yellow glass beneath, lending the bottle an impressive amount of depth and detail. Each feather is intricately rendered, bringing life to the avian masterpiece.
A silver gilt cap by the Parisian silversmith Gustave Keller seals the bottle; it is cleverly decorated with a band of birds, while a locking hinge mechanism keeps the contents secure. The perfume comes complete with its original Keller retail case.
