Rare Victorian Sterling Silver Scrolled Wire Triple Picture Frame
About the Item
Unusual, rare, Victorian period, scrolled wire triple picture frame, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1899, E. Mander and Son, Ltd. - makers. Frame is beautifully and gracefully designed. It measures 7 inches wide (at widest point) x over 4 3/4 inches high (at highest point) x 2 1/2 inches deep (when easel is in open position). The frame will hold three round photos that are 2 1/4 inches in diameter each. Each photo window opening, which is covered with its original, convex glass, will show 2 inches diameter of its round photo. Frame is backed in dark blue velvet (see photos). There is very, very minor wear that is commensurate with age and use (see photos). Dark areas in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
