Antique Korean Trunk Chest or Box circa 1920s with Luck and Longevity Characters

About the Item

Handsome antique Korean trunk or chest with beautiful brass details and the auspicious Chinese characters for luck and longevity carved into the front. It is in wonderful antique condition with a nice age patina, circa early 20th century most likely 1920s. This little Koran chest is sure to make you smile and bring you joy. And hopefully it will bring you luck and longevity too as those are the Chinese characters carved into its front on either side of its beautifully detailed brass latch and back plate. In addition, it has brass corners and edges. All are adorned with the same scallops, etched flora, and nailhead details. It has a prominent woodgrain and its inside is lined with paper depicting Asian characters. This would be a lovely place to store old love letters and keepsakes. Or maybe just a place to hide the myriad of remotes we seem to need now. No matter how you choose to display or use it…………make it yours.
