Vintage Red Mink Fur Full Length Coat
About the Item
Mink has long since been associated with the luxury and status. A lush and lustrous fur, mink coats have for many years been an endearing treasure for winter style. This coat made from a vibrant red mink, possibly from the 80s or 90s, and is done in an Eastern European style with a high neckline and bell-shaped silhouette. The raglan sleeves soften the shoulders as they flow into the thick fluffy cuffs. Throughout, this coat has been contracted using slightly gathered panels of fur which give it larger volume and a contrasting sheen that adds visual interest. At the sides are two large slanted welt pockets that are lined in velvet. While the designer for this piece is unknown, this coat is a beautiful and special vintage design that would make for an elegant and more sustainable way to add fur into your winter wardrobe.

On the front, this coat closes with exterior hooks and eyes and a large round amber button at the neck. Lined in a satin fabric, this coat is in very good condition with a small spot on lining and some discoloration to interior lining near the hem (last photo) which is not visible from the outside when worn.
