Boater Style Straw Hat With Flower Accent, 1940's
About the Item
Charming 1940's straw hat in a light tan or fawn shade with taupe brown ruched satin band and a natural white silk rose embellished with an amber stone. The hat silhouette is somewhere between a modified boater and a pork pie style. It is adorable worn at a tilt or back on the head for a fun little summery topper. No designer label though well made with high quality woven straw.
CONDITION
Very good condition with some signs of age and storage to the rose.
MEASUREMENTS
Marked a size 22 and measures 20.5" circumference at the inner grosgrain ribbon rim. The brim is 1" deep and the crown has a 2" rise with 5.75" to the center crown.
