Original exhibition poster commemorating David Hockney's 1982 show at Andre Emmerich Gallery, New York. This poster reproduces Hockney's 1982 photo montage Gregory, Los Angeles March 1982. Hockney’s longtime friend, one-time manager, and former lover, Gregory Evans has served as a longtime model and inspiration to the artist for over 40 years. Hockney has been an avid portraitist throughout his career, drawing and painting subjects ranging from his mother and Celia Birtwell, his muse over many decades, to art dealer Larry Gagosian and artist John Baldessari. This poster is not previously owned and has been stored in the publisher’s archives since its publication.
