About the Item

As purveyors of fine antique jewels, many antique engagement rings have passed through our hands. Their fine detailing and craftsmanship have inspired this piece, an engagement ring for those who enjoy the aesthetic of antique rings, yet prefer a new, unworn one to start into this new chapter of their lives. The ring holds an antique old European cut diamond of 1.24 ct as its central stone. The diamond was cut by hand circa 1900 and presents an individual, sustainable alternative to modern diamonds. It is set in a design based on Art Déco rings dating to the 1920s, when the new, angular style swept over the Western world. Elegant steps, set with altogether six more diamonds, lead from the central diamond to the band. The entire ring is fashioned from Platinum, a favoured material of the Art Déco period. While we can also make this ring in yellow, white and rose gold, each of them is as unique as its antique central diamond. If you would prefer this ring in one of those metals instead of platinum, please get in touch and we will be happy to work on an individual solution with you.
