About the Item

Brooch “Fili nera”, 2021, is a one-of-a-kind contemporary author jewelry by italian artist Gian Luca Bartellone. Materials: papier-mâché, silver, iron, rock crystal, tourmalines, pearls, gold leaf 22kt. Great appearance with the lightweight brooch. Hand-painted papier-mâché body with elegant geometric white lines on a black background. The pearls are in line in two gilded leaf hollow. On the lower side there is a rock crystal with rose tourmalines over a gold leaf base UNDER the stone. A fantastic game with the viewing angle, from the front the rock crystal turns rose, but from the side you see it neutral and colorless. The back side is handprinted with a contrast black watercolor. Two steel needles fixed to the structure on the back help to give stability to the brooch worn. Papier-mâché is extraordinary feather-weight and it has a protective transparent enamel.
