Wire Art Wall Mounted Sculpture of Boston Skyline by Barrett DeBusk
About the Item
Wall mounted wire art sculpture by artist Barrett DeBusk depicting a charming view of the skyline of Boston including rowers on the Charles River, Longfellow Bridge, the John Hancock buildings, new and old, the Custom House Tower, Prudential tower, DeLuca's market, the steaming Boston Tea Kettle, Quincy Market, Park Street Church among others.
Signed "DeBusk" in wire form.
Made of hand bent, cold rolled steel, and finished with black powder-coating making it suitable for display indoor or outdoor.
Apparently unique or an extremely limited edition.
DeBusk has been creating art for over 30 years. What began as an attempt to pass a drawing class using steel instead of pencil and paper has become a long and celebrated career that spans the globe. DeBusk has entertained dignitaries at the American Ambassadors home in Amsterdam, enjoyed successful gallery exhibitions from St. Louis, Tokyo and all points in between. His artwork has been treasured in the White House, on the big screen, in museums and public displays and, most importantly, in homes around the world. By telling his stories in his narrative wall sculptures, he tells us our stories - from love and romance to smoky evenings in a jazz cafe, the world of DeBusk belongs to all of us.

- Alan S. Kushner Studio Craft Sculptural Wall MirrorLocated in Hanover, MACustom woodwork decorative wall mirror created by artist Alan S. Kushner of Philadelphia circa 1990. Signed "AK" carved on back of bottom triangle. Overall dimensions: 72 inches high by 46 inches wide by 5 inches deep. Framed mirror dimensions: 46 inches high by 24 inches wide by 5 inches deep. Please note that the artist's intention was for the mirror to be displayed with the zebra wood arrow on the bottom pointing downward and the 'fishtail' on top. We know this because on the backside of the mirror are two wedge cut blocks for mounting in a corresponding wall bracket or Z clip. For the purposes of our photography it was not possible to stand the mirror on the point so all our photos show it upside down. Alan Kushner (1949-2008) was a self-taught woodworker and furniture maker who exhibited his designs primarily in and around Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland during the 1980's and 1990's. In 1991 he participated in the summer exhibition "In Our Circle" at the James Michener...Category
