Original vintage London Transport poster for Greenwich featuring an illustration of the historic Queen's House building (built 1616-1635), the title and information text with the London Roundel logo below - Greenwich is old seafaring London, with Cutty Sark, Gipsy Moth IV and an imagined trace of salt in the air of Greenwich Reach. Greenwich is astronomy, Mean Time and navigation. Notably, too, this year, Greenwich is architecture, with Wren's Royal Naval College, Hawksmoor's St. Alfege's Church, Inigo Jones's Queen's House, all within a few cables lengths of each other.
