He studied at the Royal College of Art. Originally a painter and sculptor, he is one of the forerunners of fine art photography of the 80s. He uses photography as a support with which he plays by retouching, cutting, superimposing, enlarging his photographs and applying his own colors and varnishes to the image. He presents his images-objects in imposing frames, creating impressive pieces by encasing them or applying them in old doors or fragments of pianos.
