    A 1969 limited edition abstract serigraph by the Russian artist Andre Lanskoy (1902-1976). Signed to the lower left, this vibrant piece depicts a composition replete with colorful abstract objects floating upon a bright red ground. The serigraph is stamped “Les Editions De La Tortue Paris” and signed “La Baule Blanc” in graphite verso. Numbered “99/100” and signed “Lanskoy 69” to the lower left. The print is unframed. Born in Moscow, Lanskoy moved to Paris in 1921 to study at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere. During this time he also studied under Sergei Jur'evic Sudejkin. In 1924, Lanskoy exhibited at the Salon d'Automne where he attracted the interest of the German art collector and art dealer Wilhelm Uhde, who was known as one of the earliest collectors of Cubist paintings by Pablo Picasso...

This photograph has a period frame dating to the 1970s and retains the original information verso. This work is signed in the lower right corner of the mat and the edition number of 284 / 750 is hand written in the lower left corner of the mat. The photograph itself measures approximately 19.5” wide by 15.5” high. This photograph by "Jay Maisel, produced and copyrighted by Berkey K & L Studios in a limited edition of 750. Each print has been individually signed and numbered by the artist. The negatives will never be used again."
