18th Century George III Solid Fruitwood Side Table Single Drawer, circa 1760

About the Item

This is a well made solid hardwood ( probably fruitwood) side table with one single drawer, dating to the English George III period of the mid 18th century, circa 1760. This is a well proportioned Georgian piece of English furniture with great small proportions. The one piece top is rectangular, raised on four square section legs. The table has one single drawer to the freeze with brass swan neck handles. The legs are chamfered to the inside as normal for this period. We have had and used this piece for many years and it exemplifies the clean Georgian lines with small proportions and a well patinated color. Overall, a very practical piece with classic, Georgian design that would fit virtually anywhere in the modern home.
