Antique Genuine Swedish Pine Country Dining or Work Trestle Table
About the Item
Northern Swedish country dining table. The table is a so called trestle table from the mid 19th century and made in pine with a solid table top. Never painted so the patina is the authentic time worn result of 200 years of use.
The table had many functions. For example its was used for baking bread which can be seen from the original raised edges around the sides made to keep the flour on the table. The use has also contributed to the patina of the table. It was also used as a dining and work table.
The table is steady and well-built as well as functional still today. It has a good height for use, 76 cm. All the joints are made by hand and visible so one can see the construction of the table. The table is possible to disassemble. Healthy and solid frame with minor signs of use – see pictures.
