A Swedish Porphyry top. This type of top was the most expensive one could buy during the early 19th c. It took something like 40 weeks to cut and polish one of these.

The edges, borders of the tall Scandinavian side table are enhanced by detailed wood carvings, supported by four round, straight golden wooden legs particularized with Egyptian figures.
