Free floating open storage units are delicately held to the frame by brass connectors, giving the robust case a light and airy feel. Designed as a free standing unit, or to pair with the Gradual chairs and Prior Table to create a suite of dining room furniture. This piece is completely size adjustable, also available with a wooden back if desired. ------ Founded in 2017, Ben Kicic is a research-based design firm based in New York City, centered around the belief that design is a gesture toward simplicity, small details, livability, and practicality. To that end, the studio creates objects and interiors that engage in a dialogue with functionality, art, culture, and material history. Ben Kicic's practice is the culmination of over a decade of experience as a designer, working with various design firms before establishing his own practice. Drawing inspiration from the hidden contours that shape contemporary life, his work is an exploration of the language of objects, materials, and spaces—a meditation on how we live, what we value, and why. The studio regularly produces collections of furniture, lighting, and objects, as well as offering services for private residential interiors.
