George III Satinwood Cabinet
About the Item
In two parts. The upper section with a broken arch cornice with inlaid pinwheels at the termination of the scrolls. Central oval inlay in the center. Two glazed and mullioned doors in a Chinese design enclosing a silk moire interior with lights. The base section with a drawer over a pair of doors enclosing a shelf. Raised on bracket feet. Top section has four shelves. Provenance; Apter Fredericks, London. Cullman & Kravis Inc purchased in 2000.
