Stunning quality 19th Century French Walnut & Ebony Library Bookcase
About the Item
A superb quality and exceptional French mid-19th century solid walnut and ebonized three door bibliotheque or library bookcase. With tall moulded cornice above three ebonized trim glazed doors enclosing five solid adjustable shelves with black trimmed edge, divided by ebonized curved mouldings, the base with three ebonized trim glazed doors and adjustable solid shelves, standing on a moulded plinth base with ebonized feet. With curved ebonized mouldings to the sides of the bookcase. Great colour and patina. France circa 1860. Locks in working order with keys. Fine quality and craftsmanship using pegged construction and original oak panelled back.
