Pair of 1950s Red Silk and Linen Blend Custom Upholstered Slipper Chairs
About the Item
Pair of custom upholstered red silk and linen blend slipper chairs with oak ball feet, lacquered black and additional lumbar pillow. The underside has the custom upholster’s label that reads, “RENOVATED BY / THE H. & S. POGUE COMPANY / CINCINNATI, OHIO”.
The upholstery is most likely from the late 60s - early 70s. The sprung seat cushions are hard and will need cushion, padding replaced. The older upholstery has some threadbare corners. Overall a quality pair of slipper chairs that would be fantastic with an updated upholstery. Maker is unknown.
