Paul Tuttle Swiss Rocking chair cowleather steel black wood
About the Item
This is a good example of a "Nonna" rocking chair, designed by Paul Tuttle in 1972 for Strässle International, Switzerland. The materials used in this chair are an attractive combination of tubular chrome, ebonized bentwood, canvas leather and Swiss cowhide. The seat and backrest consist of a thick canvas that is fixed to the frame with a large buckle and a strap, onto which Swiss cowhide is sewn. The chrome is shiny, without pitting; The black ebonized bentwood frame has no chips and the upper part of the curved arms has just the right amount of patina; and the thick leather upholstery is soft, well-worn, and free of rips or tears. Overall, this chair is in very good vintage condition, with very little wear.

- Art Deco French Wood Black Glass Buffet Sideboard CommodeLocated in Valladolid, ESAmazing French chest of drawers made of precious wood, in an elegant veined reddish tone, original from the first half of the 40s of the 20th century. Characteristic design of Art Déco, with pure lines that tend towards geometrization, in this case curved shapes that make this sideboard a very special piece. It consists of two silver handles, again following those curved lines. Both doors open and feature key locks. Inside it has a shelf for greater utility. In the upper part of the furniture there is a shiny black glass that brings light and shine to everything that rests on it. About the Art Deco style Art Déco, short for the French term Arts Décoratifs, and sometimes simply called Déco, is a style of visual arts, architecture, and product design, which first appeared in France in the 1910s (just before World War I). and flourished in the United States especially, but also in Europe, during the 1920s and 1930s. Art Deco combined modern styles with fine craftsmanship and rich materials. During its heyday, it represented luxury, glamour, exuberance and faith in social and technological progress. From its inception, Art Deco was influenced by the bold geometric shapes of Cubism and the Vienna Secession; the bright colors of Fauvism and the Russian ballets; the up-to-date craftsmanship of the furniture from the times of Louis XVI and Louis Philippe I; and the exotic styles of Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Persian, ancient Egyptian, and Mayan art...Category

- French Painting "Dahlias and Camellias" Paul Bazé, midcentury FranceBy Paul Robert BrockLocated in Valladolid, ESImpressive and very beautiful oil on panel made by Paul Robert Bazé, an artist of French origin. It represents a still life with a bouquet of flowers in the foreground on a dark background. It mainly shows dahlias and camellias, which give the work its name. The traditional still life genre shows its evolution here. It presents the characteristic style of the genre to which it corresponds, realistic and meticulous, especially noticeable in the way it works with the different qualities of the flowers and leaves. The dark background is also inherited from the still life genre, with a marked dark interest reflected in the dark backgrounds. Signed in the lower left corner. Paul Robert Bazé (1901-1985) was born in Paris, although he soon moved to Bayonne and then to Bordeaux, where he was a student of Paul Quinsac...Category
