Pair of Interesting Wood Slat Arm Chairs with a Vienna Secession Sensibility

About the Item

A vintage, possibly antique, pair of wood slat back chairs with a Weiner Werkstatte / Vienna Secession sensibility. This pair of interesting chairs each has a wood slat back, arms culminating in ball finials and a semi circle foot base. There is an applied rosette on each of the sides at the half round legs. The chairs have upholstered seats and cushions for the back and seat. The seat height to the top of the cushion is 19" and the seat height to the wood structure is 14.5". The seat depth is 17" with the back cushion and 23" without the back cushion. The arm rest height is 26". The interior seat width is 22" and the exterior width is 24.75". Yes, there are some old repairs. Yes, there are some loose joints. Yes, they are quite comfortable. Yes, they are unique. The wood slat back exudes thoughts and feelings of Vienna and the pair is equally as beautiful with or without the cushions. They sit on the low side and with the higher back and arm rests, you feel protected and relaxed.
