Early-Mid 18th Century Queen Anne Arm Chair
About the Item
English country house Queen Anne arm chair, early-mid 18th century, oak. Gracious, well shaped shepherd's crook arms. Vasi-form backplat with whorl carving. Queen Anne cabriole legs and pad feet. Slip seat. Repair to one arm which is also ever so slightly loose at the joint with the seat rail. The oak warm and mellowed on the arms, although likely refinished at the beginning of the 20th century.
