It is one of the best-known models of the brand's chairs and is still an object with an innovative and attractive design. The elegant interweaving of lines that define the forms of the DSC 106 has been admired by generations of architects and interior designers who have always regarded the chair not only for its timeless aesthetic quality, but also for its exceptional functionality and durability. The DSC 106 is concrete proof that Italian design is about more than just creativity, especially when it comes to being able to combine an aesthetic element with ergonomic research, efficiency and usability. After studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Academy of Bologna, he began working as an interior designer for Anonima Castelli, designing furniture for both home and office use. During his twelve years at Castelli, Piretti obtained numerous industrial patents for his designs, which were dominated by chairs. Piretti's work for Castelli has earned the company an international reputation in the field of furniture design. His most famous design is the folding plastic Plia Chair (1968). Other famous designs include the DCS 106 stacking chair (1965), Plona lounge chair (1969), Alky chair (1970), Plantone folding desk (1970), Plano (1971, IBD Gold Medal), Planto clothes hanger (1972), modular System 61 sofa system (1973), Xylon...Category
