17th Century English Oak Wainscot Armchair.
About the Item
A 17th Century armchair from the Somerset region in superb original condition and of a fabulous colour.
Having a shaped crest, a boldly carved quatrefoil panel, shaped arms leading to well turned gun barrel arm supports and legs. A well patinated two piece seat above scratch moulded seat rails.
The chair has lost a little height over the centuries but still has a seat height of 46cm.
A superb example of early English furniture in excellent condition.
