Kazimir Screen Set by Colé, 3 Floral Patterns, Decor Dividers Inspired to Art
About the Item
Masterfully handcrafted in Italy, Kazimir screens are not only a perfect divider for minimalist or classic rooms, but also a symbolic bridge, linking design to art, functionality to decoration. In fact the shapes of this screens, closed in a set, a collection composed by 3 single elements (Type A, Type B and Type C), are freely inspired on the figurative abstract works by the renowned painter Malevich, a pioneer of the geometric abstractionism of 20th century Russian avant-garde. The floral decoration on the screens are details taken from a painting preserved in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Dutch designer Julia Dosza, was inspired by the famous painter’s belief that the object has meaning when expressed and filled with color. In the same way the meaning of Kazimir changes according with the dress you put on it.
One screen It is composed of 2 rounded wooden panels, upholstered and coated with jersey The panels are connected by a semi-oval rusted "corten" steel base, finished with natural wax, and two magnets covered by a brass ring. The coat is removable and you can have the same shape also dressed with the abstract pattern with a geometric motif in black, white, red and green, recalling the renewed painting "Torso".

Cole Italia
“We love objects which own deep roots, excellent quality, and a strong evocative power”. Colé is a young Italian design brand, with a high-end production 100% made in Italy. Born from the experience of Matteo De Ponti, architect, who grew up in a historic Milanese design family, and the artistic sensibility of Laura Macagno, degree in Economics and passionate of art and design.
Our mission is to create design icons, suitable for furnishing the homes of sophisticated and international clients. Our expressive research is inspired by the Scandinavian design, the Bauhaus, the Italian architects of the '50s as well as ethnic handcraft, houses of famous writers of the XX century, suspended between present, past and future; the artists who wrote the code of modernity, as Mondrian, Sonia Delaunay, Moholy Nagy, Brancusi and the graphic genius of Escher. We love trips to far lands, starting from Argentina, Laura's birthplace, where our dream started. From there comes the name Colé, tied to a common memory: an element of color which makes us smile just thinking about it.
