About the Item
A Pair Chamois Trophies on Wooden Plaques Germany 1960s
A set of two vintage Black Forest chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) trophies mounted on carved wooden plaques with brown and green finish. The plaques feature a handwritten inscription with date and place of the hunt. A great set of trophies which will enhace your log cabin wall decoration.
Trophies are mementos from the hunted game, which are kept by the huntsmen as a souvenir or decorative item. For many centuries it was a tradition to collect trophies. Nowadays exactly these are becoming more and more popular as decorative highlights in hunting lodges.
