Carl Bechstein Concert grand pianos are renowned for their colorful, richly harmonic sound, yet with a well-balanced fundamental sound that allows transparent polyphony and chordal playing. A perfect instrument for rendering light and shade. This concert model, produced in Germany in 1995, has been very little played. The piano is in very good condition, with very few superficial scratches on the surface. The piano is regularly tuned and stored in a temperature- and humidity-controlled room all year round. The C. Bechstein B Concert model in the same range currently sells for over 120,000 euros. The concert serie grand piano are carefully crafted with a selection of materials including, mountain spruce, an excellent tonewood, used for the soundboard and its ribs, while the back posts are made from high quality pine. The other components of the case are made of crossband veneer using massive wood. The iron plate cast in sand achieves an excellent resistance to tension, and optimizes the keynote. The integrated capodaster strips and duplex scales play a major role in the rich and colorful sound of the treble strings, while agraffes with a special design limit the speaking length of the middle and bass strings. Both the strings and the tuning pins are made of the finest materials.
