About the Item
Mauro Fabbro naît à Bollate-Milan en 1973. Au cours de ses années d’étude à l’institut d’état d’art de Monza, il développe sa passion pour le design, l’architecture et les arts visuels. Il débute chez le célèbre ébéniste Pierluigi Ghianda pour lequel il dessine les illustrations du catalogue de meubles et objets. Il intègre ensuite le Politecnico de Milan où il étudie l’architecture, tout en continuant ses recherches dans le domaine du design. Diplômé en 2005, il commence sa collaboration avec l’architecte Letizia Caruzzo. Il dessine de spectaculaires lampes sculptures pour des résidences prestigieuses à Londres ou à Gstaad. En 2009, ils s’associent et créent le cabinet d’architecture Caruzzo-Fabbro. En parallèle de leur activité d’architecte, ils explorent de nouveaux champs d’étude avec le « Laboratoire d’architecture intérieure » de l’université de Milan. C’est en 2010, avec l’exposition « Mauro Fabbro, variations, lumière et parchemin » que débute la collaboration avec Alexandre Biaggi.
