1930 French Art Deco Mazda Floor Lamps Opaline Shade, Set of 6 Torchiere Lamps

About the Item

Set of six rare 1930s French Art Deco Mazda floor lamps with original Mazda Lamps Factory stamp. Made in France. They feature an opaque (Opaline) glass shade with chrome detailing and restored mahogany wood. All in impeccable conditions. Provenance: L’hôtel de Noailles, Marseilles, France 62 La Canebière, was built by the architect Bérengier in 1865. Many French and foreign celebrities, from Richard Wagner to Charlie Chaplin, have stayed there. Maupassant, in 1880, Prince Ali Khan, in 1909, General Joffre and his wife, in 1921, in 1938, Édouard Daladier. It was a highly luxurious hotel until 1979. It is now a police station. This listing is for 6 floor lamps. We have an entire collection of 30 lamps available. 10 Floor lamps, 10 table lamps and 10 night lamps. Made in France, circa 1930s. Restored and rewired. Measures: Lamps 68in high, wood base 11" diameter Shade 10" diameter by 8"1/2 high.
