Tutsi Beaded Prestige Staffs

About the Item

A group of six beaded wood Tutsi and Hutu ceremonial objects, the green striped one second from right is a knife, the others were used as staffs by elite members of the Tutsi and Hutu tribes. All were brought back to Belgium by colonists returning from Rwanda and Burundi around 1960. Available as a group or individually tallest is 24" high x 1' diameter (61 cm) on a custom metal stand shortest one is 18.5 inches high (47 cm)
