Sterling Art Nouveau Compotes
About the Item
The edge is scalloped and has bouquets of flowers intertwined creating an open-work design. The free-flowing flowers are quintessential Art Nouveau as they draw on nature for inspiration. Sinuous curves of plants and flowers often define the movement that was at its peak in the late 1800’s. Other characteristics of Art Nouveau are a sense of dynamism and movement often given by asymmetry as seen along the rim. These compotes are not weighted.
