Mid-19th Century Oval Engraved Sheffield Tray with Handles
About the Item
Engaging piece made in United Kingdom with the sheffield technic of the layer of copper between layer of silver.
The tray is fully engraved with drawing of flowers and baroque scrolls.
The border and the handles are rich of fruit, leaves and bunches of grapes. It is a very fine piece, beautiful, elegant and useful.
The tray is marked on the back of one handle with the capital letter "M" and "G" and clearly defined the era between the 1850 and 1859 in United Kinkdom.
Never restored, piece in good conditions. On the back is possibile to see the copper part of it. See detail in the photos.
It will be delivered with its Certificate of Authenticity.
