About the Item
A set of three late Victorian Aynsley bone china wall plates with a light green border centered with hand painted images of Arundel Castle in England, Balmoral in Scotland and Harlech in Wales all signed G. Bentley.
Arundel Castle is a medieval castle in Arundel, West Sussex, England. It was established by Roger de Montgomery. The castle was damaged in the English Civil War and then restored in the 18th and 19th centuries by Charles Howard, 11th Duke of Norfolk
Balmoral Castle is a large estate house in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and the summer residence of the British royal family. It is near the village of Crathie, 9 miles west of Ballater and 50 miles west of Aberdeen.
Harlech Castle in Harlech, Gwynedd, Wales, is a Grade I listed medieval fortification built onto a rocky knoll close to the Irish Sea. It was built by Edward I during his invasion of Wales between 1282 and 1289
