Blue and white tureen with flowers Delft, 1761-1777 The Three Porcelain Bottles pottery Mark: HB for Hugo Brouwer (1761-1777) The oval tureen stands on a straight, high foot, has a straight wall, two shell-shaped hanging handles and a domed cover. A profiled band is modelled just above the foot. An alternating decor of shells, spirals and pointed shapes has been applied between the band and the foot. The tureen is painted in blue with plants and flowers. The lid knob is polychrome in the shape of a naturalistically modelled leaf branch with pear. Dimensions: length 34 cm / 13.38 in., width 25,5 cm / 10.03 in., height 25,5 cm / 10.03 in. The pear has been loose from the lid in the past and badly glued. A piece of the branch and part of a leaf was missing. The pear has been properly replaced and missing piece of the branch and leaf made. Furthermore, the usual glaze damages along the edges of the object.
