About the Item
This is a good Pewter Tankard, designed by Archibald Knox, for Liberty & Co and marked Tudric with stamped Number 053, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1902.
The tankard is made of Pewter and has a polished and tapered hammered body with a scrolling loop handle having a thumb rest and sits on a shaped foot. The body has three hammered stylised flowers, all in the Art Nouveau style of the day.
It is fully and clearly stamped to the base with;
"TUDRIC" having an "0" over it and 053 below.
